Ms. Reed is the owner and Managing Attorney for Sterling Oaks Law Firm. Her practice areas include business law, real property and Indian law. She is admitted to practice in the State of Oklahoma, Northern and Eastern Federal Districts of Oklahoma, Muscogee Nation, Cherokee Nation, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
It has been Ms. Reed’s honor to serve as an Appeals Officer and Magistrate for the Court of Indian Offenses, Miami Agency since 2019. She has also served as Prosecutor for the tribes under the jurisdiction of the Miami Agency.
Ms. Reed is the current Chairperson for the Real Property Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association. She is also the immediate Past President of the Cherokee Nation Bar Association, a former Business Law Fellow with the American Bar Association and serves on various committees with the State and local Bar Associations.
Ms. Reed earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa School of Law and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma.
Prior to her legal career, Ms. Reed worked in Central Asia and the Middle East as an International Development Consultant with an emphasis on women’s empowerment in Muslim societies in conflict and post-conflict regions. It was her work on the Women’s Integrated Legal Literacy Project in Uzbekistan that inspired her interest in the rule of law, and eventually in the practice of law.
